岸 玄昌
A designer based in Rennes, France.
After working at an interior design office in Tokyo, he moved to Amsterdam, London, and Rennes.
His designs explore the atmosphere an object exudes and the impact its presence has on the space, creating interactions and resonance from the object to the space, and from the space to the object.
He currently works primarily in Europe, Asia, and North America, collaborating with local industries and craft cultures. His works, which offer a modern interpretation of materials and traditional crafts, are sold in art museums and department stores around the world, including the New York MoMA Design Store, Hong Kong M+Museum, and Japan House London.

東京のインテリアデザイン事務所勤務後、アムステルダム、ロンドン、レンヌへと移住。
オブジェクトが纏う空気感とその存在が空間に与える影響、オブジェクトから空間、空間からオブジェクトそれぞれが相互作用し共鳴する作品をデザインをする。
ローカル独自の産業やクラフトカルチャーとのコラボレーションをはじめ、現在ヨーロッパ、アジア、北米を中心に活動。
素材と伝統工芸に対し現代的な解釈をして製作された作品は、New York MoMA Design Store、Hong Kong M+Museum、Japan House Londonなど世界各地の美術館や百貨店で販売されている。
